Founded in 2004, Sèvis Finansye Fonkoze, S.A. (SFF), the operating subsidiary of Fonkoze S.A., is Haiti’s leading microfinance organization offering a full range of financial services to Haiti’s rural communities. SFF is a double bottom-line company: we aim to lift families and communities out of poverty while operating in a financially self-sustaining manner.
The name “Fonkoze” is a Kreyòl acronym for Fondasyon Kole Zepòl, which means “Shoulder to Shoulder Foundation.” Fonkoze’s microfinance programs were originally launched by Fondasyon Kole Zepòl (the Foundation), a Haitian nonprofit founded in 1994 by Fr. Joseph Philippe CSSp and grassroots Haitian organizations. The Foundation created SFF in 2004 to scale these programs on a sustainable basis.

Fonkoze USA is a 501(c)3 organization that secures financial and technical support for the Foundation and raises awareness for both Haitian partners.
